I go out of my way to use a Target pharmacy. The care I get there has been amazing! They have helped sort out all kinds of snafoos, and they always give me excellent and friendly advice. All pharmacists are NOT created equally.. and all Target pharmacists might not be either... but as for me and mine, I LOVE MY TARGET PHARMACY! No lie.  

I was reminded why last week. I went to pick up my prescription. As I was about to walk away from the counter, my fave pharmacist called out "wait wait!" and rushed over to me. I got a really heavy package in the mail about a month ago. I opened it to find I had been sent a 32 load bottle of Purex Complete with Zout: Fresh Morning Burst Scent to try out for myself and review for you guys.

I was happy to try it. The scent was really nice but not overwhelming, and it boasted stain lifting capabilities.  Having kids, this is a MUST in a detergent! 

So, I happily started washing laundry with this new detergent.  My husband walked in one day and said, quite out of the blue, "Whatever laundry soap we are using right now is my most favorite scent ever. Keep using this one."

I agree. It does smell really good. Does it remove stains better than other stain lifting detergents? I think it works about the same as a lot of the others. It does seem to work pretty well.

So, Purex teaming up with Zout= Pretty Wonderful Product.  I wonder if they can put this in a 3-in-1 Sheet? (I really love those from Purex!!)

But First a Mini Tip....

 A big part of what I do is in the form of social marketing and networking of sorts.  Everywhere I go with my Bargain Binder, I go with as pleasant of an attitude as I can muster on any particular day.  You can go armed with a frown and the official coupon policy, but that will only get you so far.. and usually you will have to fight harder to use your coupons/deals according to the store's official policy.  A smile makes it oh so much easier.  When you are going to frequent a store or business... do so in such a way that gets you a good reputation.  Coupon with integrity and a smile and it will get you much further and make getting the deals that much easier.

I try to make friendly acquaintances out of the employees where I love to shop. I am on a first name basis with many of the managers at my local Target. I LOVE my Target! (On the flip side, there are two folks that I know to avoid bc they do NOT like the couponers and always throw a frown or attitude....but overall, if you coupon with integrity, they are really great at Target)

Some of the employees at Target have even told me they are couponing now after seeing my binder.  I will have a nice talk with the managers and employees when they have questions. AND, I am always trying to sell products to fellow shoppers.. I am always like "WAIT! Don't get that one, get this one. Here's a coupon that makes it free!"   I have actually been offered a job at my local Target twice now in the past year and a half bc of my knowledge of products, location, policies, and my enthusiasm that I share with other shoppers!  

Anyway. When you walk in with a Bargain Binder, you are going to get noticed. Let them notice your smile first. That is one of the BIGGEST parts of couponing you can ever learn.

This is how I am able to offer this particular giveaway.

I was talking with one of the managers I have come to recognize and casually chat with.  Most of the managers smile when I walk in, and they even know when I am missing a kid (I shop with all my kids sometimes) and which kid I am missing! They say things like "You are usually the smiley child.. what's wrong today?"  In other words, they know us!   So, I was talking with one manager that I have come to know a little and that has come to know me a little...

She mentioned she got moved to be over the Pharmacy part time now.  I perked up here. I asked her about those ELUSIVE Magical Pharmacy Coupon Books.... I wanted to know if they had those, knew about those, or even knew how to get one.  

For those of you that don't know what I am talking about, these Coupon Books have more than $45 in savings. All the coupons in the booklet are TARGET coupons which means they are stackable with Manufacturer's coupons!  You can get cheap and free product with this booklet. They are also rare and somewhat hard to come by. I have never seen one with my own eyes before...

Until last week!!   This manager said "Oh yes! I have some. Would you like some?"  Yes, she said "some".  

So... since you hung through the story... drum roll.... 

I HAVE A TARGET PHARMACY COUPON BOOK WORTH MORE THAN $45 TO GIVE AWAY!!!!!!!

That is BIG news! I am so excited about this!  I was given one to keep, one to give away on the blog, and one to give away to a friend. 

These coupons are really great. There are coupons for everything from Allegra, Claritin, Listerine, Quaker Oatmeal, etc.  I am really digging the $3 off 20-ct Excedrin coupon.  This makes Excedrin about 59c without having a manuf coupon to stack with!   Also, there is an offer for a FREE $10 Target Gift Card When You purchase or transfer a new prescription.  Interestingly enough, there is $1 off 2 Hormel Natural Choice Deli Meats Coupon.. not complaining, but this seems to be an odd Pharmacy coupon..

They are mostly natural and weeks after I wash my clothes and towels in them, they still smell great.  I love that they don't affect my towels' absorbency or the fire retardant in my kids' sleepwear.   I love that they are solid, not liquid, for easy clean up when spilled.  Overall, I am a Purex Crystals' fan now.

March Giveaways Week 4 is Tasty!

This Week, I am Giving Away Chick Fil A

 I love Chick Fil A. It is one of those places that really seems to care that you spend your money with them. Also, it is one of those places that seems pricey when compared to other fast food establishments.  This really is not the case. You just have to know where and how to seek out the coupons. Also, this is one of those places where being nice to the staff can pay off big.  If they accidentally make an extra milk shake at the drive thru, and you are a nice regular, they just might hand you that extra shake. OR, if you have a coupon for a free chicken sandwich, and you want a spicy chicken sandwich, they might upgrade your coupon for no extra cost to you. Also, Chick Fil A has an understood policy: they always take coupons.. no matter their expiration date or "use at this location" printing. Plus, I love how they walk around the dining room and ask if we need refills!  

How to get Chick Fil A coupons:  befriend the marketing director and ask them how to get coupons.. they might hand you some.  Buy a couple $6 Cowlanders (calendars).. each month features a new food freebie. These calendars pay for themselves several times over. I bought 3 this year.  Check Ebay.  Go to the family fun nights, Santa Cow and other events, etc.  Also, ask who they sponsor.. my local CFA sponsors the summer reading program at my local library. Every kid that participates can earn/win free icecream, kids' meals, etc.  AND! Pay attention to the CFA signage. My CFA just had  customer appreciation week. They gave everyone free breakfast items during breakfast hours all week last week.

I got to try the product first.  More than a week after washing my clothes, they still smell great.  I wasn't sure about the scent I got to try, but now it has grown on me and I am sure I will be buying it again in the near future!

This past week, I tried the new Purex Crystals Softeners.  You can go HERE for the official information on this product.  Take a moment and check it out!

This is what's neato about the Purex Crystals vs other softeners:

• They are in a solid, crystals, form.. SO, if and when your kids get ahold of them or knock them over, there's no nasty spill to clean up. Which is also what I like about the Purex 3 in 1 sheets...
• They are 92% natural and not oil based like other liquid softeners. Oil left by other products decrease absorbency of fabrics like towels. Also, oil buildup on your clothes over time can discolor them.  Purex Crystals do not do either.
• ALSO, a big point for me is that Crystals Softeners do NOT interfere with the flame retardant qualities of your kids' sleep wear.

There are many more neat features that I have never thought to consider when buying a softener. Check out the link I posted above to learn more.

BUT, what did I really think about them? I liked them. They were convenient, easy to use, and they really had a lasting scent days after using them.  Also, I loved being able to try them for free! :)

However, the scent I was given was the Fresh Spring Waters scent.  I don't think I would seek that particular scent out again in the future. It just wasn't my thing.
