Cheerios Deal At Target This Week

Do you have a toddler or child that loves their Cheerios? Or do you love Cheerios? A deal scenario occurred to me this week.  It is based on what I found at my local Target, yours may or may not vary in pricing.

A friend was at Sam's Club shopping the other day. I went along for moral support. And cheap cafe pizza lunch. (one of the few things I think really are totally cheaper than other places... $5 to feed me and my 3 kids?? SOLD! :) )  Anyway, she grabbed  huge box O' Cheerios. She started towards her buggy with it. I coughed a little. I am trying to not push my couponing on her too hard.. it is my passion, but not everyone's. I get that. I can still be your friend.. ;)   She looked up and was like "what?" I was like "almost $8 for 3 big bags of Cheerios??  Please don't do it! Do you need the Cheerios TODAY? Or can you wait a couple days. I will totally work the deal for you... "  She aquiesced. I guess I owe her some Cheerios soon...

Here is what popped in my mind when I was feverishly doing the math in my head:

I was just at Target.

I just printed some Target.com coupons for General Mills. Target Store Coupons.

I just clipped Sunday Paper coupons for General Mills.

DING! DONE!

Target (mine anyway) has Cheerios on sale (the big boxes) for $2.50/box this week. (Not much of a sale, if you ask me...)

Target.com has $1.50 off General Mills items, including cereal.

The paper had a 75c off Cinnamon Cheerios.

The paper has $1 off 2 Cheerios.

SO, if your Target has Cheerios $2.50 a box or less, and if they have the Cinnamon ones.. Theoretically you can buy 3 boxes of Cheerios for $7.50. Then take off the $1.50 Target coupon = $6. THEN take off the 75c Cinnamon variety coupon = $5.25. THEN take off the $1/2 Cheerios= $4.25. For 3 big boxes of Cheerios this week. OR just $1.42 a box. 

*My stock up price on cereal is less than $1 a box. My I need it and should by several price is less than $1.75 a box. 

I am liking this deal.  I hope the prices are still valid when I shop for next week.  I might try to buy a smaller  box and then my cost would be $2.75 for 3 boxes. Yeah. I like it.
